People learn more from doing than simply hearing, seeing or reading. For time, space and money reasons, it is not practical to use the real world to make a point in a training or speech.
Simulations are interactive and experiential tools that bring across the speaker/trainers point in a way that pure lecture can not.
On February 28th, Erik Barnes will discuss how to create and use simulation trainings. Among the points he will discuss:

Venue: Shanghai Science Hall, 2 Floor, Room 1203, 47, Nan Chang Road, crossroads with Si Nan Road.
Directions: Nearest Metro station: Shaanxi South Road (Exit 4). 6 minutes walk along Huai Hai Central Road to Si Nan Road, turn right. Nan Chang is the first road, turn left and the Science Hall is half a block down Nan Chang Road on the right hand side. Its a 1920s French concession style building. Come in up to the second floor for the meeting
With Speaker, Mr Erik Barnes
Erik Barnes has worked in the people development field for more than 5 years in the Greater China area. He is a professional trainer and speaker who delivers workshops, speeches and trainings in Mandarin and English. Mr. Barnes works as an executive coach for M7 & Associates and as a freelance trainer. He is also the current president of the Dynamic Mandarin Toastmasters club and past president of the Shanghai Number One Toastmasters. In his spare time he makes guest appearances on various Shanghai television shows. He is a founding member of the Professional Speakers Association of China.
